Government
Emergency mass notification, civil defense broadcast, government building PA, and critical infrastructure audio systems.
Government applications demand the highest reliability, redundancy, and security compliance. From civil defense emergency broadcasting to secure government building PA, Barix and BNA products provide mission-critical audio infrastructure.
Deployment Scenarios
Real-world challenges solved with Barix and BNA products in Government.
Civil Defense Emergency Mass Notification
Challenge
A civil defense authority needs to broadcast emergency alerts to public speakers across an entire city district simultaneously, triggered from a central command center and from mobile field units.
Solution
BNA IP9000 controller with primary/secondary redundancy manages all city district PA zones. BNA IP-GSM-G4 enables field commanders to trigger zone-specific broadcasts from mobile phones. BNA IP-PA-AZU-300W zone amplifiers drive outdoor speakers at each district point.
Government Building Secure PA
Challenge
A government ministry building needs a secure PA system where only authorized personnel with PIN authentication can trigger broadcasts — all access attempts logged for compliance.
Solution
Annuncicom PS16 at the security desk with PIN-based access control. BNA IP-EI-4104 allows authorized EPABX extensions to trigger zone broadcasts. All access attempts are logged with timestamp, extension, and zone in the BNA IP9000 controller.
Standalone Emergency Broadcast Unit
Challenge
A rural civil defense post needs an autonomous emergency broadcast unit that operates independently of any network or server — with timed broadcasts that work even during network outages.
Solution
IP Audio Module 390 with RTC (real-time clock) provides scheduled standalone playout without any network server. Pre-loaded emergency audio messages broadcast at configured times autonomously. Even during complete network failure, the unit continues scheduled broadcasts.
Parliament / Assembly Hall Audio Distribution
Challenge
A legislative assembly hall needs high-quality audio distribution from the speaker podium to press gallery, public gallery, and committee rooms — with professional broadcast-quality output.
Solution
Exstreamer 1000 with AES/EBU interface distributes podium audio from the professional mixing console to all zones over IP. Exstreamer 200 (2×25W) at each gallery zone drives ceiling speakers directly. Instreamer at the press gallery encodes audio for live broadcast contribution.
